Nationally, Chi Omega supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish believes that wishes make life better for kids with life-threatening illnesses. This belief inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish and drives everything they do. This foundation is near and dear to our hearts and we are so passionate about supporting it! We are proud to be a top fundraiser for Make-A-Wish and are eager to continue supporting the foundation. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope.

Every fall, we host our annual Waffles for Wishes event, where we invite the UVA community to join us for a waffle topping bar, acapella performances, and great company! Each spring, we host Golf on Grounds, a campus-wide golfing competition where teams of four people tee off at various landmarks around Grounds, guided by a Chi Omega sister who serves as their caddy. This event is enjoyed every year by parents and friends who love spending a spring day around Grounds.

In 2022-2023, the sisters of Lambda Gamma raised over $20,000! These funds are donated directly to the Greater Virginia chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to impact our community and surrounding areas.
